GOALS
I was looking for some time for a website which focuses solely on PTZ cameras, hardware and software video switchers, and joysticks to operate them.
While today, the PTZ world is a very broad one, from the tiny Insta360 Link up to the Sony FR7K full frame camera, our aim is more to focus on the affordable segment of cameras and equipment below 3.000 USD.

The world is not the same after the pandemic. We are now in a world of videoconferencing, virtual and hybrid events. The sales of video streaming and production hardware has exploded since. I am trying to bring some light to people and companies who are looking to acquire and operate the equipment needed to carry out all kind of video productions with PTZ cameras. As such, there will be a directory of manufacturers and software solutions to help you achieve your goals. There will also be tutorials to gain the knowledge to operate the technology.

This website has not the aim to be a helpdesk for specific problems of specific users. But users can submit requests in order that I can evaluate if it's a topic of interest to a larger group of people. I may consider to evenutally produce content about it somewhere in the future depending of my actual priority ranking.

PTZ News invokes that it's a news website and it is, but we do not intend to be complete, neither to publish something about every new camera or other equipment release. It's a freelance project which is based on a personal passion of mine and my primary goal is not to earn money with my publications.
